That is the best examples of a "correct" 69-72 292 PS I have seen in a long time. There have been several others that may or may not have worked...but, this one is right!

Get all of the pulleys to make sure.

Frank, are all the lower pulleys attached to balancer? Haven't got that far yet. Or is outer bolted on 71 truck? Thx.

The balancer will have either 2 or 3 grooves (both work). PS will be either cast or stamped (same offset). WP & alt will both be 2-groove (but, it will work with one alt belt/groove)...and away you go.

Re: 292 parts from 71 GMC

I want/will buy the passenger side crossmember engine mount bracket, if it will work on a 4x4 crossmember. not the brackets that bolt to the engine but the ones that bolt to the crossmember and depending on price.

Sorry for spelling ti out exactly but some people have offered me some parts but that will not work. I do not know if 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive are the same.

here is a picture of what I have engine wise and my crossmember is the correct factory 67 angled one. sorry no picture of that right now

Plus, good to see 292 parts going for what they are!

Pm me I tend to forget things.

Thanks,
Steve

I'm interested in:
Carb (if it's complete and rebuildable)
Throttle cable
Gas pedal assembly (if it's for sale)
Coil bracket
Engine lift hooks (if they're still there)

Re: 292 parts from 71 GMC

No, I won't need the kickdown bracket. Is that $65 for everything else besides the lift brackets though?
