Installing a rollpan

I'm trying to install a roll pan on my 1969 c10. I was tacking it in when I notice that once installed it would block the bottom bolt of my tailgate hinge so I wouldn't have access to it. What do you guys do in that case? Are there different tailgate hinges that allow you to slip in on like new tailgates?

Re: Installing a rollpan

Mine has a deep roll pan and yes the bottom bolt is a pain, but you can get it from underneath the truck.

Re: Installing a rollpan

I did some modifications on mine so that I can take the tailgate off without having to remove the hinges. I'll post some pictures in the next day or so to show you what I did.

Re: Installing a rollpan

Thanks for the help guys. I was looking at my new Chevy and how the tailgate come off. I would think I could modify the tailgate to come off just like it. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
