Need help with grille color paint

I'm wanting to repaint my grille and headlamp doors. And wanting input on color choice. I have in the past used silver type color I would find close in a rattle can. In the touch up paint selection. But what I'm finding more and more is most of these colors now have a bunch of metallic in them. And I don't want that. I have thought of using rally wheel paint color Argent.
Any other idea's ?

Thanks Ken

I was gonna suggest the rally wheel paint also. LMC sells it in a rattle can. Post before and after pics if you paint it.

Re: Need help with grille color paint

While looking around for other truck related items. I found that VHT and Summit Racing both offer Rally Wheel paint. The VHT brand is called silver. The Summit brand spray bomb is called Agent wheel paint.

I'm going to give it a try. It will be a couple of weeks till I have the time to deal with this project. But pictures to follow.

Re: Need help with grille color paint

Would this be the correct color for a 78 as well?

Re: Need help with grille color paint

I used Duplicolor Wheel Paint on my Rally Wheels and they came out well. Link is here -> http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/d...plicolor+wheel

Here's the link showing how my wheels turned out -> http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=10. The picture does not do them justice.

Here's a link showing a similar topic. Has some good pics and some prep tips. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...t=paint+grille

I am curious on the question regarding the 78-type grill too. Painting it would surely freshen it up.

What about the 91' Suburban/Blazer? Mine is a darker color.

Re: Need help with grille color paint

My grille and head light bezals lean more towards a charcoal than the argent silver. Any idea what the exact color would be?
