Carb question

My carb looks like it has an aluminium adapter plate on it.

It has been wet right there were the adapter meets the intake.

Looks like it is leaking is this gas?

It has been very hot here 100+

looks like you need to replace that gasket, maybe even to make sure the adapter plate aint warped
