Project FUGLY

First off I LOVE THIS FORUM!
That being said I've decided to post my build. Years and years in and really want to be driving it this season.
The Plan
70 short stepper
C4 front and rear suspension (my first attempt at building a frame from scratch)
LQ4/4L80 (plan to have twin turbo by August)
Power heated leather seats
VDO gauges
tilt / telescopic column out of an old Caddy
power windows / locks / keyless entry
Factory AC

Re: Project FUGLY

Thanks it's getting better everyday. Will look a crap ton better as soon as that yellow box gets replaced its just on there for mock up.
Had to cut the floor yesterday, damn near broke my heart. Took me a few hours to build up the courage to do it but it was either cut the floor or no 4L80.. Second pic is what the underside of my cab floor looks (or looked like)

Re: Project FUGLY

Local Bone Yard for $20 I think it was a 68 with stick. Picked this one up too but it came out of a commercial truck and does not raise the floor.

Re: Project FUGLY

I'm going back in a few weeks to pull a set of orange buckets out of a 67 CST he has out there. Ill take a look and see what year truck it is.
Don't know if it will help or not but attached is a pic of the shift knob that was in it.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Re: Project FUGLY

Your front track width looks extremely narrow?

Sounds like a sweet project though

Re: Project FUGLY

It is way narrow. Stock C4 Vette dimensions (84-86). Same with the rear. I'll be able to run some really wide rims... Rims on the front a 9.5'' wide and I still need to come out
6-7'' on each side.
