Re: aftermarket inner fenders

I cant speak of just the inner fenders. I recently built my entire front end using aftermarket panels, I had a lot of alignment issues with the whole clip. I had to trim some off of the backs of each inner fender and drill out some of the spot welds and re-weld them on the front for better alignment. I also trimmed and adjusted all of the other panels. The used hood I got fits well at least.

Re: aftermarket inner fenders

I have a set that worked ok, main problem was that the steering column cover area either had the nuts in the wrong place, or just not there,,, I can't remember which

seems like most problems I have seen mentioned on the board is when people are trying to use an entire aftermarket front clip.. that's where all the fitment issues start... I just used the aftermarket inners, all my other sheet metal is original

You can still find originals around...I just scored a whole front clip rust free on craigslist. The seller didn't even know it was rust free....I would repair yours or find some originals before I considered the repos just from my experience.
