Stock Steering Arm

I just brought the lift down from 4" to 2.5" on my 1970 K5 (Dana 44 up front) and am trying to find a stock steering arm or some measurements and/or pictures of one so I can accurately determine how far off the one the PO swapped in when he did the lift is from stock. I don't know if the one he used was for a 4"-6" lift steering correction or other...

Re: Stock Steering Arm

I think the steering arm that comes with a 4-6 lift is the same. You may want to contact ORD off road. I'll bet they have a few laying around or I'm sure someone on this board can hook u up. I have a 6" lift with an arm so if u need a pic to compare let me know

Re: Stock Steering Arm

Member 1rippen6?? Has a 4-inch one for sale and has it next to a stock one. I also have 2 stock one sitting on the bench. (it does not have the-{ ferrells} that go in the arm).

Re: Stock Steering Arm

I'd leave it. With the 2.5" lift and the 4" arm, the drag link will be pointed up 1.5". With the stock arm it's pointed down 2.5" with that same lift. Less error from stock with the lift arm.

Re: Stock Steering Arm

Agree with Mick C less is better. You want the link to be on a straight plane.
