Original Blazer Gas Tank Fill Neck....

I am looking for an original 69-72 Blazer fill neck. The one attached to the gas tank itself. I am going to have the manufacturer of the steel tanks manufacture tanks with them attached so us Blazer owners stop having the fill neck issues with the reproductions that are out there now. Anyone have one or two?
I am also still looking for a complete original fill hose assembly (3 piece) so I can use it for a model to make a single piece molded fill hose. Anyone have one of those? Please let me know. WES

wes I have a fill pipe that you can make a reproduction of as long as i can get it back and a deal on a new one I am not that far along in my build on my 72 blazer so you are welcomr to use. Let me know thanks Richie

Which one are you talking about? There are 69-70 and then 71-72. The 69-70 starting from the filler nozzle, has the nozzle, then a rubber hose, then a bent steel pipe, and another rubber hose that hooks it up to the tank. I think that the 71-72 is a nozzle and fill pipe all in one piece with a short rubber hose between the end of the fill pipe and tank. WES

My 70 has a one-piece fill with the short straight hose from it to the tank, I think... I better take the cover off and look again.

I have 2 original Blazer tanks with the neck on them, I would be willing to give up one for the cause. One needs to be put on my repro tank... My repro tank with the crappy neck has been causing problems, making me have to run the gas pump at half-throttle to keep from spilling all over the side.

Would you mind posting a pic of your gas tank (the fill nozzle and pipe). I picked up an original tank, but not sure what year it is. and I have a 72 Blazer

Your tank is correct they are talking about the actual fill pipe that mounts to the rear quarter. 69 and 70 are 2 pieces of pipe connected with a rubber hose and a second rubber hose to connect it to the tank neck. 71 is also 2 pieces but has a different mounting flange to the quarter panel. 72 is a 1 piece design with 1 rubber hose connecting the filler neck to the tank neck. When we get them made I am thinking that the fill pipe will work for Blazers from 69-71. WES

Wes, the tank I can cut the filler tube off is worse than I remembered so I will just cut the tank itself to include the filler tube and vent tube (green square). But, the vent tube is rusted off at about where the red arrow is. Will that still work for you? If so, please PM the shipping address to me.

This is what I have cut out. I was unaware that the vent tube went so far into the tank and was held to the top with a strap, so I cut that part out too.

Got a picture? Have they been removed? The reason I ask is because I want things as they were originally so that when I have the molded single piece hose done it will fit without issues. How much do you want also? Let me know. WES

OK. Well when you remove them take it loose from the tank neck and the upper filler nozzle. I don't need those pieces. I need the rubber hoses with the steel pipe in the middle in tact so I can use it to copy with a single piece hose. You can send everything if you like. What is the $$ WES

Does anyone have a filler neck that connects to the gas tank for a 72 blazer. I have an aftermarket gas tank and need this to make the tank fit.

I see I'm a little late to the party, but I just wanted to weigh in and check if this has happened and are the molded tank inlet necks available?

I think that just being able to manufacture the tank inlet necks would be a huge boon, even if you can't get the tank manufacturers to incorporate them natively, some folks, like me, would be willing to buy them separate, because a previous owner of my truck got a new tank but didn't transfer the molded inlet tube, so I would really like to be able to get my hands on one, whether it can be attached to this tank or if I had to get another tank, just being able to get the molded neck would be awesome.
