Classic Industries parts???

Any one have some ****ty quality panels from these guys other than me? the lower door skins I got from them are flat, not curved and they are about 1/4 inch oversized where they need to be folded over the inners! Just to name a few. My LMC stuff seemed to fit alot better and there are different company names on the parts,so they don't all come from the same vendor,I guess.

Re: Classic Industries parts???

I don't think I have ever seen a door skin that is folded where is is to meet the door. witch partial skin did you get the short one or the shortest one? I think they make three besides the full skin don't they? the very shortest one may not have any curve . does yours have a body line pressed in it? Jim

Re: Classic Industries parts???

The outer door skins are folded around the inner door shell all down front and rear and also along the bottom. I got the shortest ones they sell, and yes the stock door has a curve in it as it goes down to the rocker panels. All four pieces I got are worse to install than it would be to graft on sheet steel. Very disappointed.

Re: Classic Industries parts???

I bought all my cab pieces from them. Cab corners, outer floor with inner and outer rocker, lower a and b pillar, and inner kick panel. The Cab corners and outer floor with inner and outer rocker were really nice pieces. I don't think CHL though. These were ordered about a year or so ago. The other pieces where not as nice. Just ordered a 4x4 fan shroud. I'm still working with them on getting it returned. Not at all what I was expecting. It is fiberglass... I mean, it looks like a boat on the inside and very rough all around. It would take a lot of work to make the thing work. I've ordered quite a lot of parts from them and have usually been pretty happy with what I've received. I guess you can't win them all. All we can do as a group is keep each other informed of who sells the best stuff at the best prices.

I don't even care about price too much,I just want quality parts. I'm not tryin to low ball any vendors,I pay their prices.I didn't shop around to buy the cheapest parts, cause I know you get what you pay for. I expected quality parts and just didn't get it. The Brothers parts were 3x as much and I don't mind- if they are good parts.

Re: Classic Industries parts???

I ordered cab corners from lmc. One cab corner had a lmc sticker on it and the other a chl sticker. The chl corner fits like crap and I'm gonna call lmc in the morning to see what they can do.

Re: Classic Industries parts???

I got lower door repair panels from Classic....CHL made in Tiawan.

The rest of my panels were Key Plus.

I have had a few board members tell me that Tabco makes good stuff, especially cab corners, might be worth checking out the door replacement panels too?

Re: Classic Industries parts???

Well Classic Industries is gonna reimburse my shipping charges so at least they are stand up guys. And I confirmed, CHL is the only door and cab corner panels they offer.

I'm glad they're making it right for you. I called lmc this morning about my messed up cab corner and they're sending me another one. I just hope it's better than the first

I hope to be able to answer that sometime by late spring to summer, i don't have a shop or a large enough garage to work on the truck during winter.

Re: Classic Industries parts???

I got my inner and outer door skins from Brothers and they are WAAAAYYYYYY better than the ones from Classic!! Both in fit and in thickness, and they just plain look better. No wrinkles. But I have to say,the guys at Classic did their best, follow up phone calls and reimbursement of my shipping charges.
