What ECE drop do I have? Trying to distinguish it???

I bought the truck with ECE components on it already. Got spindles in the front and what appears to be there springs as well. Rear has shock relocate kit and ECE plate and springs also.

BUT I'm really not satisfied with the ride. It's got kyb shocks and it should be better than this.

My goal is to be another inch lower than present. Tops of tires at bottom of fenders.

I WONT BAG IT- want to stay daily driven and static.

Opinions please.
What drop is it?
Best way to get another inch lower and great handling and ride qualities.

Thanks guys!

Either a 4/6 or a 3/5.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

What size tires are you running. How about some pictures of A-arm angle and trailing arms?

Probably 4.5"-7"?

You would be surprised how much better it will ride with 15" wheels.
I think a lot of your poor ride quality is in your 40 series 20" tires.
But I wouldn't switch to 15's.
It's part of running 20's.

Some say the new shocks from Ridetech are really worth their high cost.
You might look there first.
Some are hard core Bilstein shock fans.

Re: What ECE drop do I have? Trying to distinguish it???

I just pulled a shock. THEY ARE WASTED! Won't even return to full extension. That answers one question. Guess I better shock shop. But again the stance on this is not exactly where I want it.

I guess I could block the back 1" and look for shorter springs up front. But the rear already rides kinda $hitty.

no.
Trim 1/2 coil if you want to drop the front 1" more.
Add a 1" block to the rear with a bolt in c-notch.

Sounds about right!

Does anyone make a progressive rate spring? Or a "softer" or lighter weight rear coil?

You might try a Hotchkis rear coil

Re: What ECE drop do I have? Trying to distinguish it???

Truck looks great IMO, and any lower won't change the look much. It's funny how "low" just doesn't look so much after awhile. I know that's how I feel about my truck.

Mine rides well I think. I have 2 1/2" ECE spindles and 2" springs in front and DJM flip kit on stock HD leaves in the rear. I used KYB front shocks all the way around re-drilling the upper mount in the rear for a more vertical arrangement. My lowering is about 4 1/2" front and 7" rear. Any more would require a c-notch.

I have 27" fire in front and 29" in rear. (yours are 28" and just over 29").
