I used the factory motor mounts for my DD sliders in my '76.

used DD sliders with stock towers in my '67 ... you won't be able to mount the AC compressor in the lower position with this set up though.

Same here I had to remove the a/c compressor. I am using TBSS manifolds in my 76.

Re: Do you need different motor mounts with dirty dingo adapters

I bought a set of 73+ frame mounts from Ebay, cleaned then up, repainted them, and installed new rubber. They worked great.

Yes you can use the stock clam shell motor mounts sold at any auto parts store when using the dirty dingo motor mounts.I am using the same mounts in my 77 and i just bought two v8 version clam shell mounts for my motor for like 7 dollars a piece at oreilys.
Happy building man! If you have any questions about what the dirty dingo mounts are compatible with just give them a call and ask to speak to BRENT,hes the owner and maker of all parts made and sold at dirty dingo hes really knowledgeable and totally cool.
