It is for sale near me , it's a 1984 GMC 7000 4x4 with the 8.2 liter diesel and a 5 speed and pretty low miles too for $7000

I'd make a trough to pull the front wheels in to put the frame at the ground. Then I'd only have to climb 4' to check the oil

That reminds me of my '62 GMC 6500. When the mechanic reconditioned the truck back in '72 he added about 2 or 3 more Leaf Springs to the front end. I would check on the truck just about every day and towards the end of the project, I finally asked him "when are you going to take it down off of the jacks"?? He said "It's already off the jacks" !!

Every morning I had a "chore" to climb up on it to check the oil, lol.

...and I'm 6 Ft tall.

It sure rode nice up there though.
