No, I don't think so, hehe. Not the rubber either. I wonder how old they could be?

Sand blast those plugs and set the gap .035, I bet they will still fire!

Re: Show your rare finds in your truck

Wish I had a picture. I had a '57 small window back about '95-'97. Under the seat was a JFK for President matchbook. Nowadays would any candidate print...well, anything but especially matchbooks?!

I find a lot of crusty corroded bullets for some reason, we have gotten a little leery of how we clean out a truck when we first get it in, that and rusty wrenches and screw drivers

antique pencil found while changing windshield. check the condition of the metal, this truck grew up in southern Or, near Grants Pass. Rains there, but not much apparently. This truck has never been parked in a garage.

Re: Show your rare finds in your truck

Found a fully packed Proto Pipe in the cab corner of my truck. Flash back from 1986. Called the original owner and he remembered dropping it and couldn't find it. Really pissed him off that night. Some stinky old stuff in that thing.

Re: Show your rare finds in your truck

Cool! A Vacu-mite. I found a Vacu-mite while cleaning out Grampy's garage. It's in great shape. I also found a bunch of stuff in the 36 Plymouth. I found tire chains, a tool kit, a jack, a newspaper from 1958, a pig mask cut out of a cereal box, two spare sets of spark plugs, an electric Allstate grinder, two spare spring leaves, a foldaway seat from an old Packard (I'm told) and the vehicle's registration from 1959 when it was last on the road.

Found this in a cab corner wrapped in a damp rag. Looks like it's been there quite a while!

Re: Show your rare finds in your truck

Found a '56 silver quarter under the back seat of a '56 Bel Air I bought for my wife one time.
Found an original key wired to a magnet with a bread tie under the hood, behind the latch panel of my wife's '54 panel. It still works the ignition and the door locks.
Found a pearl ring under the back seat of a Suburban I had one time. My wife still wears it.
Found $116.25 in change in the driver's door of an S-10 I used to have.
Various match books and business cards, a couple of doobies, a joint rolling machine, but never any rubbers.
