Pulling the Motor from Donor

Getting ready to pull the motor out of my donor truck this weekend. It is a 2000 Silverado, and I want to put its motor and trans in my 68.

So what all do I need to pull off the donor truck for this swap? And how much of the wiring do I need to pull? A/C parts? Any steering parts?

Kinda need a list for my son and myself so we can get rid of it soon!

THANKS!!!

Re: Pulling the Motor from Donor

Get the Y pipe from the exhaust. It has the O2 sensors and a good start on the parts that will be needed for the pipes to be built. also when you pull the motor, go back and take the long bolts out of the frame side of the engine mount and take those as well some people are plating them on the bottom and mounting them to the truck frame and bolting the LS motor to that and not even having to buy the conversion mounts. Of course get all of the wiring and PCM so you can have it reflashed if you want to save some money there. As far as the steering I don't know of anybody using any of that stuff. I have had an idea about using some of that frame clip stuff on one of my trucks to get rack steering and disc brakes and put disc brakes on the bake even from one, I have a bunch of those trucks I have junked out, so I have a ton of those parts.
