post Army build!
Hey, new here!!
This is the truck I started building when I got back from Iraq and a few weeks later received my hon- discharge Started off with finding it.. Seen it setting on roadside. Stopped at house and asked if it was for sale. He said yes, he'd sell it. "This thing is stout " he says. I'm basically thinking oh yeahhh.. Right.. Well, it had a lumpy cam and a loud exhaust on a 350 with a 3 speed that was slipping. I decided I'd buy it as the body had very minimal surface rust underneath. Blew the engine in second gear the next day.. Ended up buying some quality parts for my engine. A solid 010 block that I took .040 over (had spare set of .040 over flats Pistons) Nice new eagle rotating assembly. Aluminum 2.02 1.60 64cc chambered heads with nice shiny Scorpion 1.5 rockers The meat grinder of a cam is a 513/536 -331 cam and it sounds and performs great. Weiand street intake Msd hei And a fuel sucking holley double pumper. What if the old 3 speed? Trashed it. Made a new cross member and the M22 4 speed fit nicely with all new internals and a hi performance clutch kit to help it out. More pics and story to come Don't mind the crooked headlight, some pieces were bent up. Have to replace some screws and springs on it as well Last edited by boseidon; 03-19-2015 at 01:37 AM. |

Will post my build pics tomorrow. Have them stuck on a cell phone that's not readily available.
