wheel cylinder "things"???

looking for these "things" that go in the ends of the wheel cylinders?(lost one in the "tear down" of the rear drums on my 84 2wd c10) can i get these at the local parts store(autozone,oriely,napa,carquest,etc)or?and what do i ask for?(proper name) tia.

if a recall i got a set from aummit or autozone when i did the brakes in my buddys dumb. me personaly i never use used brake parts but most poeple dont use there truck like i do lol good luck man

They're rear brake caliper pins I think is what they're called, you can get them in a rebuild kit from the parts house I believe.

I had the same problem you are having when I did an axle swap. Lost a couple of them and figured they would be easy enough to find if not included in my brake spring/hardware kits.

I ended up getting them from Napa. But they called them something different.

Let me look in my threads I have posted because I believe I posted about it and came back and updated the post with a name and part number.... BRB!

OK, here we go.

Napa part #80460, they call it a "Brake Shoe Link".

That part number is for my '78 K-10 with a 12-bolt truck axle FYI. I am not sure if these will be the same for your 10-bolt.

You may want to have them run the part number I provided above and refer to them as "brake shoe link". Even if your axle takes a different link, the part number and description I provided should help them find yours. It's kind of funny how this little part seems to stump alot of parts sales associates!

How did you make out??

Were they able to source brake shoe links for your 10-bolt??

If they are different than for a 12-bolt, post up the part number for future reference.

If they are the same, let us know.

This subject has come up a time or two, and this thread or my thread I linked here would be good stickies. These parts seem like a "nothing" part that one should be able to find all over like Amish exhaust.. But being as they area bit tricky....
