What's missing?

What am I missing from my gas pedal to make it functional?

Re: What's missing?

Two ball studs that stick out the floor. Do some cleaning and scraping and you should find the holes or the remains of the old studs.

Re: What's missing?

I'm not sure but it looks like there's a square sheet metal patch where I'm guessing the studs should be.

Maybe someone cut them outta the floor at some point?

Re: What's missing?

Thanks for the link, anyone have a pic of them in the floor board? Does the top of the pedal just rest on the medal piece?

Re: What's missing?

I can't help but chuckle a bit. I used to have a '68 that was missing the pedal and I can say it works fine but will wear a hole in the sole of your boot over time. I looked for some pics of the studs installed in my '63 but came up blank.

Re: What's missing?

You might find it easier to use a 60-63 pedal, since the stud mounts are missing. Just position the pedal on the floor where it fits best then drill and bolt in place.
