Speed Warning Circuit Diagrame - Anyone?
I've been trying to locate a circuit/wiring diagram that includes the speed warning circuit.
Can't find it in the truck shop manual; can't find it in the Camaro shop manual; can't find it in the Corvette shop manual; can't find it in the '69 Pontiac shop manual. All offered the feature, and it's an RPO, but I can't find a circuit diagram. Doesn't mean they're not there, maybe I'm not looking in the right places. I've found harness routing diagrams, and it shows the connector, but not what any of the wires do or connect to. I've got mine working, but I'm not happy with the way I came up with to do it, and don't want an electrical fire because I 'innovated' poorly. Thanks, Dave

Re: Speed Warning Circuit Diagrame - Anyone?
Can I move this to the electrical forum? I don't' want to cross-post, but this got lost off the front page in a couple of hours with no response, so it's likely a better choice.

Re: Speed Warning Circuit Diagrame - Anyone?
I took all mine out but I will try and tell you how mine worked.
Ground wire going to the connector on back of the speedometer. Then it would travel through the speed needle and when it touched the speed alert pin it sent the signal back out the other wire to the buzzer which went to fuse block. I think that's how it worked best I can remember anyway! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=616867 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=88285

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. Last edited by Andy4639; 03-24-2015 at 10:12 AM. |
