Fuel issues. M4ME Carb.

Recently I purchased a 81 350 c10 with some kind of fuel problem. At first I was thinking that it could be the choke, but after diagnosing that wasn't the problem i'm left scratching my head with more questions then answers.

It seems that when i touch the throttle the engine wants to quit. If i act fast enough and pull my foot away from the gas it will pop back to life. if it does die out completely then it can be hard starting.

NOW! I should mention that I have not attempted to tune the carb at this point but I am under the impression that it is in relatively good running capacity.

Is there anything that i should be looking for as far as a solution or something to point me in the right direction for finding a solution.

You again!! LOL!!
Could be a couple or three things or more.
1. Lack of initial timing.
2. Accelerator pump not working.
3. Stuck metering rods.
4. Intake temperature.

Could be egr. My 86 did something similar, i unplugged the vacuum hose and plugged the end of it and problem solved. The egr valve was fully opening when i started to apply throttle
