CL Denver find, not mine, 64 short box K10
Don't see these very often. Looks to be in decent shape and comes with extra parts. If I was in the market for this, I'd be all over this.

Re: CL Denver find, not mine, 64 short box K10
This will be my first posting on these boards, and it's all because of this here truck. I've been reading the forums on the 60-66 models night and day for the past 3 or 4 days
I've been wanting to get an older model pickup and restore it WHILE I use it as my daily driver. This turned out to be the first truck that really struck my fancy. I've got a few more photos I took with my iPhone: Driver Side View: Rear View: Interior Shot: Cancerous Area Passenger Side (Similar driver side): Rear Differential: Underside view of Rocker Panels: I got a few more photos on my iPhone but they didn't turn out so well. This will be my first vehicle to do major work on. I know she'll be a lot of work, but I wanted to see if there's anything you seasoned vets are seeing that I'm NOT seeing that would be cause for concern. I cold-cranked the 283 no problem, drove her around the block and got up into 2nd gear, but didn't take her much further than that. I shifted through the gears without going into 3 and 4, but 1, 2, and R seemed fine. The 35s will need to replaced immediately. He also has two better condition doors with all the hardware/paneling (a little corner rust) and a new hood. Also, he's asking $5400, but I'm not sure how close to that I want to come. I don't really know how to determine a fair price other than by what I see come across craigslist. What do you guys think about it? Any help would be appreciated! |

Re: CL Denver find, not mine, 64 short box K10
Verify it is a factory 4x4 by the VIN. Should start with 4K14. The t-case shifter in the pics leads me to believe it is on a 64 4x4 chassis, but I'd be sure the body matched before I pulled the trigger. Other than that I think he's a bit high. I'd say around 3500-4k would be more realistic, but they also don't come up for sale nearly as often as the 2wd trucks.

Thanks for the response, jdl71.
I did check the VIN, and it did start with the 4K14. This one was built in CA. I just offered him $3600 prior to seeing this, so I'm glad I was estimating it in the same ball park. |

So happy that I found this and someone here bought it, or might buy it. Good luck!
