Picked Up my Project!!!

Super excited about it! picked up a 1963 Chevy C10 Shortbed.

Has usual rust but salvageable and it runs!

Has the 230 I6 and 3 on the tree.

Pics will follow soon.

Will need help in finding parts and how-to's

Thanks y'all!

For posting pics, you can got to the "Go Advanced"tab under the reply dialog box and then manage attachments, or you can copy and paste from a service like Photobucket or Flickr, etc…

Good luck and have fun with that 63

Itll be a tribute truck to my Grandfather who passed away 3 days before Christmas last year.

Plans are many lol still havent decided what route to take. One things for sure is, Im going to 3 on the floor or a 4 speed trans lol

Engine-wise, probably rebuild the stock engine, with true dual set ups for a beefier sound.

Lower it a bit and keep it clean. Ill be doing the wood bed all by hand and self done.

Its for me and my son to have fun with.

I look forward to sharing with you all the journey ahead.

Re: Picked Up my Project!!!

Don't be in a rush...I just collect the parts I need to do the restoration when I'm not focused yet. That way the journey has begun and when you dive in you have the things you will need to start....

63 is a great year, first year of coil front end but still a knee knocker, and hands down one of the most handsome one-year-only grilles

good luck!

Re: Picked Up my Project!!!

Patch panels is all I have seen also...you will have to fab other areas...not fun but you will do better than how most of the patch panel usually fit if they were offered.

That rust in the cowl, you may be able to find the piece you need from a donor cab.
