Wiring Harness Info.

Does anyone have any information or a schematic on a RPC (Racing Power Company) wiring harness model R1002.
I got a very good deal on it at a swap meet this last weekend. It is a GM column type and has 21 circuits. I know I don't need anywhere that many but it was just too good of a deal. Only thing was the documentation was very limited. I've looked on line and found some stuff and can figure it out eventually but thought I'd check and see if anyone had any info on hand for quick reference.
Thanks in advance
Ron

Re: Wiring Harness Info.

Use the EZ 21 circuit wiring harness manual. They are basically the same. You'll go crazy trying to find one for the RPC. I never did. Used the EZ and it worked

Re: Wiring Harness Info.

ok, google "ez wiring harness instructions". It gives you the 12 circuit diagram, or use the painless. They are basically the same

Re: Wiring Harness Info.

i used both the ez wire and the painless manuals when i wired truk with ez wire
take notes of any modifications right in the manual and draw up anything added
cut a wire, make a note. add a relay, make a drawing.
staple everything together when your done, it makes for easy work later

Re: Wiring Harness Info.

I went one step farther, because of the Frankentruck nature of mine. I copied the ez diagrams and put them on a sheet of large paper, in the location they go in the truck. I added the GM column diagram and information off of the original stock wiring that was remaining. I completed the circuits between all the parts and kept good notes as I went so I can figure out what I was thinking. Since the wires are labeled and I used some for other purposes I also noted that. I then laid out the harness over the diagram and reconfigured the main runs (front, engine compartment, dash and rear) to match the diagram. I also figured out where I wanted quick connects (I used trailer connectors) for ease of install or future tear down. Started running the main runs, back, engine, front and dash in that order. I found keeping the fuse box mount under the dash loose until all the wires were run helped. Once the mains were ran I started completing each individual wire in each circuit. So far I only found 1 additional circuit I had to run after the fact. Details of my build are in the build thread starting at post 770. I had the advantage of my OCD grandaughter Brit to help keep things in order, neat and organized!
