Can someone identify this part:
It's on the left hand side next to radiator. Has a vac. line going to it but it's not connected to anything. No wires to it either. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. Thanks

Re: Can someone identify this part:
I thought it was part of a cruise control but there is nothing else to go with it. It has a knob on it that turns but has no tension and looks like there is an adjuster screw with a jam nut on the other side.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Can someone identify this part:
I do believe it is a vacuum driven air compressor which was used in the AC Delco "pleasure lift" air shock system

Re: Can someone identify this part:
Thanks for the responses guys. I am going to remove it and see if I can find a part number on it then do a search and see what happens.

Re: Can someone identify this part:
That was a factory option vacum pump that would pump up air shocks off the motor vacuum. I have mine installed on the 71.
Here is a link for it. Has all the info you need. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=559816

Re: Can someone identify this part:
Wow! Thanks Andy.
Odd thing is I only have that piece and the air shocks and they are junk. The SPID doesn't show that as an option either. Beginning to wonder what my truck really is!!

Re: Can someone identify this part:
I'm not sure if they where for trucks. I know for the cars they where. I have mine off now and use the gauge for the air bags out back. I modified the gauge and put a momentary switch on it to run the air compressor. I have the vacuum pump in a box in the garage.
