Routing power steering hoses

Would anyone have any photos of the correct way the power steering lines should be routed on a 72 with a 350?

I swapped from a 250 to this 350 and these lines just don't seem right. Of course, the way that power steering bracket was designed, certainly doesn't make it easy to get to. I have them routed through the bracket. This is a K10, but I don't think that would matter? I checked on Rockauto for power steering lines, and they list the exact same ones for the 6 cyl and the 8 cyl engines

Yeah, Rockauto is the definitive expert on parts for our trucks.

Just make new ones that fit. Any local AC or hydraulic shop can shorten and re-crimp your old hose for you if you don't want to spring for the PTFE/stainless high pressure hose and fittings I used.

Re: Routing power steering hoses

These are exactly like the originals on my 69 with 350. In fact, the steel part of the return line IS the original. First pic is routing from pump under inner fender.

Re: Routing power steering hoses

Thanks for the photos. I think I may need to do a little fanegaling to get mine fitting properly. I'm assuming I have the correct ps bracket (I traded my 250 brackets for the 350 brackets, not really knowing what I needed) I really can't see the bracket in the photos

I found these additional photos. They may help. The pressure line I bought is an Edelmann that looks like those Rock Auto has pictured. As far as I can tell your bracket looks correct.

EDIT: Also check out this thread.

Re: Routing power steering hoses

Those photos are perfect. Thanks :-) It looks like I have them routed correct, now I just need to straighten them up a bit and track down that piece to fasten the lines to the frame.
