Dallas Break Line Flaring

I really don't like flaring lines with the El-Cheepo unit I have. Does anyone in the area have, or know someone who has a mastercool or eastwood style flaring tool in Dallas. I would be happy to drive over and bring some liquid refreshments to borrow for a few minutes. I need to do about 4 or 6 flares and I'll be done.

Or does anyone know of a shop that will do it? Most of the ones I have called don't really want to help me out.

Personally I would just purchase your own brake flaring tool.
I have one that I bought when I was about 18 years old.
Still works great and has made a bunch of flares over the years.
I recently purchased the Eastwood $200+ flaring tool.
Best I have ever owned.
Wish I would have bought one years ago.

Yes. Buy a good kit. I have good success with the Ridgid #345-DL.

Also know that annealing the line with a small torch makes the job much easier. Often times the lines get hard spots from the production process. Or at the end when you use a tubing cutter. Heat will damage coatings of course.

Also, I switched over to using NiCopp (nickle copper) tubing. Expensive but very easy to bend & flare.

I bought mine at Sears for about $60, it works fine, just don't over tighten the thing when making the inverted flair.

I have the same one made by Craftsman you probably do swamp rat... bought it at Sears years ago. Have made lots of flares in brake and fuel lines without a problem.

Oh, alright. I'll go buy another one. Can't garuntee that I'll buy a $300 one though. I may go for the rigid or craftsman model. Thank you guys.
