Blazer chassis under 54 chev pickup?
Is it possible to take a 54 chevy pick up and instead of putting it on a S-10 chassis use a blazer chassis to get IFS 4 wheel drive but keep it lower than stock? I realize it is too short, maybe put the Blazer front clip on a S10 longbed frame...something like that? I am just finishing my S10 conversion on my 48 but a friend would like to take his 54 and set it up for his wife to drive in a hilly showy area, 4x4 is needed and they want a lower stance. has anyone tried it yet?

Re: Blazer chassis under 54 chev pickup?
Why does it have to be a blazer? Why not use a 4wd s10 frame?

Re: Blazer chassis under 54 chev pickup?
I suppose that would work, so it would still need 2" spacers up front and a Blazer rear end in the back, right?. Do you know anyone that has done this? Any other complications? Can't use the drop spindles so it would be a couple inches higher than a 2wd...

Re: Blazer chassis under 54 chev pickup?
4wd blazers and 4wd s10s have the same front suspension and length rear ends. Both are torsion bar front suspension and 2wd drop spindles will not work. Id find a s10 extended cab 4wd and use its frame. Same wheel base as 2wds just with 4wd.

Re: Blazer chassis under 54 chev pickup?
I had a friend do a Blazer frame in his 54 back in the 80's. He used a full size Blazer from the 70's but it sat high.
