Re: CL find not mine 68 K10 long step

He sounds hardcore!! But honestly if i want to really make a deal i CALL. Thats what real men do when they want to make a deal.
Especially if it says DONT text me. Get that respect right off the bat. Gets you better deals every time.
However.....i doubt he gets anywhere near his asking price. $3K maybe. Its cool. But it aint $5K

Tempting! that would sell all day long at that price and more around here. That thing looks very original and unmolested!

I am with you on the texting being useless. I have never once sold something to a "texter". Now I won't respond to them since it has proven to be a waste of time.

This is true. If I'm serious I'll call. My latest buy i called and went to look the same day.

On another note...If your board member 6 what am I?

Edit: Apparently I'm #126 - But' I'm pretty sure there was another system before the current one.

Re: CL find not mine 68 K10 long step

Very low production number at 552. Nice original truck. I agree that in certain geographical areas, the truck would bring the asking price plus some and in other areas, probably not.

I found it funny that the owner blamed the previous owners kid for running the engine out of oil but did not blame mother nature for rotting the bed wood or drying out the dash pad

Take care,
Tom

Re: CL find not mine 68 K10 long step

I'm to far away and don't have the money. I'd like to feel like I might be buying it for a moment so i'll send him a text. that was I can say it's his fault I don't buy it

I agree, you want it, you call and get all the lowdown. Texting for info is p*ssy foot BS. get all the info in a five minute call and not a half hour of thumb fu...not spoda say dat

* apparently also can't use a term that refers to the trait cats have when checking something out

When you say low production do you mean in this specific configuration? Half ton long step? Or does it go deeper than that

http://www.oldride.com/library/1968_chevrolet_c10.html

The information is for a 1968 K10 127 inch step side as you will see on the chart.

This is the source I use. It seems to be consistent with other information from other people so I would say it is safe to trust it.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Re: CL find not mine 68 K10 long step

Sweet ride, I like it. Texting is not all bad, I've bought many of trucks through texts, granted they were $1500 and less trucks. Times change and I've been through alot of changes through the years, as have most of you, newspapers adds, phone calls, emails, instant messaging, texts. Every once and a while even on this website I get guys that want to talk on the phone when buying a part
