Re: cc cab lovers /give an opinion ??

YOU have the fleet-side i would use it ...once you stretch the frame if you don't like or you find a step side you could always change it never know what mood your in each month change it back and forth LOL .....I want to see a (stretched cab) crew with 8" bed

Re: cc cab lovers /give an opinion ??

here is your year as a short fleet:

** looking through my photos I do not have a pic of any 456 stepsides other than the long box in the previous post, and a couple on the 127 inch wheelbase.

I have quite a few photos of the 60-63 cab with a step or fleet short box bed...

Re: cc cab lovers /give an opinion ??

IMO. Short bed, lifted truck; go stepside

Long bed, lowered/bagged (low n lean), go fleetside.

I've got nothing against the long steps, or the shot fleets...but the two above seems to be that combo that "just works" for me.

The overall look seems to dictate one of the other IMO. I'd love to find a nice one to start with. I need to build a new daily and spending 20k on a used truck with like 100k on it sure doesn't seem worth it.

Re: cc cab lovers /give an opinion ??

I am going to post a pic of my 68 1 ton dually I am doing. I know the year is different but if you are thinking step side at least you can look at one sitting on a truck. I am going to have to widen the bed or fenders 5 inches to cover everything.

Oh yeah, mine was also a motorhome like yours. Mine had a 175" wheelbase. I took out 60 inches to get to 115".
