Dana 60 rear hub
My son and I are restoring a 69 C20 and I finally found a Dana axle for it that we planned to use the 3.54 r&p to lower the rpms. Unfortunately after tearing it down we found one of the inner races had spun and is .020 too large. I know there is one loctite product that maxes at .020 but would prefer to replace the hub. Since I have been unable to find any does anyone know if any other d60 hubs will work on this axle? 94-97 dodge 2500, e350?
Thanks, Alan |

Re: Dana 60 rear hub
Have you tried the HO52 hub? Or possibly even a 14 bolt? There was a lot of sharing of parts and I know the Dana 70 and the 14 bolt can use the same, just make sure SRW donor.

Re: Dana 60 rear hub
I actually hadn't thought about trying the HO52 hub, I do have that on the truck now so I can try that and see. My brain was stuck on finding another D60 hub
I don't have any 14 bolt axles to try but I'll search around and see if anyone has done that on the rear hubs. Thank you Mike |

Re: Dana 60 rear hub
I may have found a 71-72 hub but it has a "fluted" or splined center instead of the smooth one I have on the 69. Can anyone confirm if the 71-72 hubs looked like this? Let's see if the picture shows.

Re: Dana 60 rear hub
Here is a picture of a 71-72 hub I installed on a 69 or 70 rear end.

Re: Dana 60 rear hub
Thank you Paul! I appreciate you posting the picture. That definitely shows me the difference in the hubs.
Apparently 70 and earlier D60 hubs are smooth And 71-72 are not |
