Radiator mounting hardware
I've been waiting on a radiator mounting hardware kit for my '59 fleetside from classicparts that has been on backorder now for two months. I'm giving up and making my own now. Can someone supply a picture or give me specs to what they used from the factory? The hardware mine was mounted with had been cobbled together at some point and was not factory. I think it's just some certain sized bolt, washers and some sleeve type spacers to go with the rubber washers, but not sure on the sizes. Thanks

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
Summit sells radiator mounts maybe you could check them out for some ideas and make them to fit your radiator. Just a thought. I searched radiator mount in the Summit search box.

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
Did you happen to check The Filling Station? Just picked up my mounting hardware for my 51 and they had it in stock. Those times I've had them ship it to me it was fast too.

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
That kit is for mounting the core support, not the radiator itself. You should be able find this at any of the usual suspect vendors. No biggie.

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
try this or call them:
http://www.tuckersparts.com/Radiator...-FRP-5627.html looks like only the rubbers pads, but they probably have the rest of the stuff too. |

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
BTW, I've had good results with Tuckers, classicparts not so much.

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
I went to a local farm and tack store and got a section of very high density rubber mat for stock trailer floors. It is 1/2". I have used it for cab mounts, bed mounts and radiator mounts. Rest of the hardware came off the shelf at local hardware store. Places that sell wholesale janitorial supplies might have some of the same stuff for walkoff mats or comfort mats behind service counters. Lots of times aftermarket places charge dearly for bundling readily available parts, or for parts you can still get at Rockauto or Napa.

Re: Radiator mounting hardware
The bushings are simple to get or make. It's the sleeve spacer that I need the specs on as seen in this picture.
