pitman arm

I'm about to put power steering in my truck this weekend and I can't seem to get the pitman arm on the steering box. I was wonder if there is a trick to this or do I have the wrong one. I think I'm lining up the timing marks correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially from my arms

you must change the pitman arm, the sizes are not the same for power steering and non-power steering

I have a brand new pitman arm that is supposed to be for the new box. It may be the wrong one though because it doesn't just slip on. Should it just slip on or do you have to help it on?

should slip on pretty easy, enough where you need to tighten it down by the threads

I've ligned up the timing marks, but the hole itself seems to be too small. I think I was sent the wrong one. I have one on order that should be in this afternoon from autozone. Hopefully, it will work. I would like to wrap up this project so I can move on to another...

By the way I posted this question in a seperate thread but maybe you guys have this somewhere. I need the directions to change out my alt for a one wire. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its gonna take alot of pressure to get the new one on. You had to use a pitman arm puller to get the old one off.
