Patina Truck, Shade of White Trim?

I have a 68 truck in original orange paint. I am repainting the grill back to white and the mirrors, wheels and bumper. Should i go to Gloss white or Semi Gloss or even flat? Thanks for input, I will include pic because i know everyone enjoys them.

Unfortunately I think all of mine have been repainted at some point in time. The Green '67 has a gloss finish and the Blue '67 has a satin finish. I have two painted bumpers in the barn and I will check them tomorrow if I can remember... CRS ya know.

Thanks Leon, the grill appears to have been white and someone repainted a red that looks horrible with overspray on edge of fenders. With careful light sanding i have removed the red spray to reveal orange underneath on the lip of fender, but i want to put grill back to white. I just wondered if Gloss would be to bold? I do plan on waxing the paint back to a shine tho also.

nice truck! I would go gloss or semi on wheels and flat or satin as possible on everything else. Just my .02.

Rustoleum makes a semi-gloss spray paint. It is still slick enough to be washable, not like flat. It has a dull sheen. It would be perfect. Doesn't look bright/pure white, either

I'm leaning towards semi gloss on everything but wheels and doing gloss on them, I do plan on. Using rustoleum only paint I like in a spray can.

No way to know if the bumpers in the barn are original paint but they are both semi-gloss white.

Good looking truck! I'd say a buff job on the paint and a flat or semi-gloss on the nose. Semi-gloss on the wheels or whatever was factory as I think that looks the best on a white wheel.

I'm making progress, will probably be able to finish grille after work this week, should have it all back together saturday (if i get the day off). Then i can start on the wheels but here's progress so far.
I went with Semi gloss.

to late to this one, ive got a patinad white grill for a 68 sitting in the garage... looks to be original paint if i remember right. id do flat or low gloss on anything on the body. you could get by with gloss wheels, but i dont know that i would personally.

Does your grill have good stainless in It? if so how much do you need for it? Thanks

Good looking truck, just my 2 cents but low luster is the way to go. Your truck has patina and wear on the paint, so flat paint colors would all go together well.

I used GM 521 white in lacquer. It has the perfect sheen to match my original patina paint. I tested other spray can whites in semi gloss and flat white, but the color was just too white. I also didn't think either had the right sheen. Factory correct 521 white in lacquer is perfect.
