That will look better with a nice chrome bumper.
I am sure someone will want that winch bumper for their trail vehicle. |

I was thinking the same thing...we need more Blazer Talk here. We got our own forum now, lets use it.
Anyone have a pic of the tail end of the frame rails? the PO put a diffent bumper on and something looks out-of-wack with how he mounted it. Davy

That winch would be cool for camping/hunting/off-roading, but it sure is ugly.

What are you going to do with that winch? I think it is BobbyK or Greg72 that has his behind his stock bumper. Very sharp and maitained the stock appearance. I think they used a flip up license plate and the fairlead was behind that.

My husband wanted to do another winch bumper (he is a welder and wanted to do "something trick" as he put it) but I FINALLY talked him out of it by showing him a stock chrome bumper when we went to visit Frank's yard (PickMUp) Frank only lives about 10 miles from us! I think he still wants the winch on. If anyone has pics or ideas I would love to show him. Thanks! BTW our blazer is going to be stock height with only 30" tires so I think a winch bumper looks a little out of place unless you hide it...agree??
Hey 72beast- that bumper is cool!!! |

The photos aren't attached, they are referenced to a site on the web. BobbyK has them posted on ImageStation. If you used the "IMG" button in the "Post reply" (you can't use the quick reply unless you type in the code) it asks for a url. That is the only way to have multiple photos in a post.

Cool Blazer HuggerK5- love that cool- no matter what!! I used to have a 72 K5 that was Hugger Orange - Had a 6" lift and swampers- It also had a 69 grill and hood on it. It was SWEEEET I sold it about 6 years ago for 5500. I wish I still had it, but I was starting my own business and needed the cash... oh well - now I have my 70 and I will NEVER part with it!

Here is a pic of some of the work I did (or helped do) to fix some rust problems in the bedsides of my blazer. I got the panels by cutting them out of longbed bedsides.

Here are the stripped bedsides before being cut.
