Re: want new taillights

Polishing the lenses on a set of originals is the cheapest option if you want the stock look still.

I am in the process of doing that for my 89 C1500 after removing some clear aftermarket ones the PO installed that I don't care for.

Re: want new taillights

I tried the buffing method on my '94 and finally decided that no amount of buffing will remove all the haze and make them look new-new. Purchased ALL new lights and couldn't be happier.

Replacing all the lights is not as expensive as one might expect and totally "freshens up" the looks of the truck. Especially the front end.

$85?

You can buy complete assemblies (with bulbs and sockets) for less than $20 each. TYC brand. Certainly not OEM/GM but certainly not junk.

www.rockauto.com

11191400 - left - $18.65 each

11191300 - right - $18.81 each

I have seen the assemblies on the third party knockoffs.....the quality is not even present like the OEM units have. When I see those deals, I am all over it.
