Headers for 1952 Chevy PU - Need Advice

I have a 1952 Chevy PU with original A frame. I put a Heidts MII cross member in. I needing a pair of headers, any recommendations? I believe, I need Block Hugger Headers if I'm correct.

Assuming for a small block Chevy, block huggers, rams horn style manifolds, and copies of the rams horn style should work. I am sure there are others that would work too.

We used block huggers on a 52 with a big block. I did have to do some creative notching on the frame but it wasn't much. I think there are some pictures on my build thread.

Re: Headers for 1952 Chevy PU - Need Advice

Thanks for your responses, I really like the look of the block hugger headers so I'm leaning towards those.

Jim, are you running a small block? I'm thinking Bernie had to notch the frame because his BB and you're running a small block??

I've looked at the build links of everyone who responded..Nice work! If I can do 1/2 as good as you guys I'll be pleased.

Thanks 52, glad we could help a bit. Jim is very talented builder and reviewing his build threads is well worth your time for learning, plus a lot of fun. I've been learning a lot here!

Re: Headers for 1952 Chevy PU - Need Advice

I've been perusing his thread for the most part of the day very impressive. I've been following Bernie's thread since I joined the site back in 2012. The fact he's building the truck for his dad kinda hits home with me. I've got a 3rd generation 52 my grandfather bought new. He gave it to Pop and from Pop to me. I've been outta the loop since I moved from Texas to NC, but I'm back in the game now and ready to get to work.

Will do, as soon as I can find some pics and a little time I'll start my own build thread. As a new member of the site I look forward to posting with you guys in the future.
