I'm new, check out my project 69

Hey guys! Been lurking for a little while, doing research before I picked up my c10.

I have a 1969 chevrolet c10
250 i6 (previous owner said it was from a 79 nova, however the intake and head are separate pieces) so I know it's not a 74+ head

Granny low 4 speed

It's lowered it a little bit.

No it was on some road in the middle of Washington state.

My build: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=664085
If I'm going to bench race, I'd go gen III small block/t56, afr/trick flow/similar heads, giggle juice, and suspension work... Road race stuff.

Real world? 283-350? Maybe a 454 if I can find a place to park and gut a motor home (I actually have somewhere in mind, my work...)
That's long term, like after fall harvest season.

Meanwhile I may find a cheap t5, and just swap friction disc with proper spline and go that route (might as well do up a new PP and TO bearing too)
Continue to tune up the I6.
Might just drive the piss out of it then 350/th350 and bag it...

A little background on me, I went to college for automotive like 13 years ago, ran shops etc. Now I'm a professional legal dope connoisseur.... I consult for a large legal farm and do extractions. I have a wife and two kids, and I love life. I hope not to offend anyone with my name. Just poking fun at the stereotype.

Your last idea sounds the best, drive the piss out of it.
No offense taken here, everything's fine in moderation.
Good luck with your project and your new endeavor.

I always 420 on the HIGHway, keeps me out of the right pedal. I just assumed there was an actual interstate with the same moniker

I love to hot rod, but more importantly I love to hot rod around. I'll go out and "hoon" when I get the right parts in.

I used to live just outside of oakland.... Swinging donuts and drag racing in the street are some of my favorite pastimes.
