Seat identity
Hey guys, can anyone identify this seat? Love the apparent bucket style support and fact I can take my grandson with us aspect. Thanks, Jim

Re: Seat identity
This is how they probably started out.
http://www.astrosafari.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=7994 The guy trying to sell those seats posted a number of photos that might give you a good idea of what the stock seat looks like.

Re: Seat identity
Hey, what about some discussion of how easy/difficult it is to adapt mounts for these seats?

Re: Seat identity
I HAD a then brand new '86 GMC Safari minivan; the twin of the Chevy Astro van. Mine was the top trim level and I remember those Sears were very comfortable and durable too - I had a 4 & 5 year old at the time.
I haven't been thinking of switching from the factory bench but since I know these are comfy, I suspect plentiful, come from the GM family, and likely cheap, the only question is how big a PITA they might be to install?

Re: Seat identity
These are out of 98 Safari/Astro van recovered with the headpiece removed. Here is the before and after. I have also included a link to where SKYMANGS describes what mods need to made to the brackets here http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=234

Chris (SKYMANGS) is just now starting a TF truck for his son, haven't heard what seat he is using but shoot him a PM and he would be happy to tell you if the Seat will work in the TF.
