Progress pics..... Fuel filler door & bed
Here is my fuel filler door in action! (I have a fuel cell mounted under the bed). The door is air actuated by a small air cylinder! It's controlled by a small pneumatic toggle switch (haven't decided where to mount it yet). I know, I could have used a small electric actuator, but I already have an air source on board with the air ride system.
gasdoor.mpeg That's not all I've been doing though. I also recently installed some repro bed sides and am currently prepping the bed for paint. For the bed sides, I had to fill in the side marker holes (since I have a '67) and also went ahead and filled in the stake pocket holes. I hope to have the bed back on the frame the first of next week. Here are some pics..... though they aren't the best. Do you notice anything different about the bed????

Nice! The wheel opening arch looks a little "odd" but it's probably the angle you took the pic from.

All bed parts are 67-72
The repro bed sides fit pretty well. A couple of the holes where the front panel bolts to didn't quite line up right, but that was an easy fix. I haven't test fit the tailgate, so I can't comment on that yet. The metal isn't as think as the originals, but they are rust free

Did you buy a repo Gate ?
I bought a repo Chevy gate and it sucked. I was at a swap meet and found a NOS Chevy gate I paid 525 Cdn. for it. Totally worth it. Good luck with your truck look's like it's coming along pretty good.

Yukon, that isn't the video I wanted to show, but it is similar. For some reason the "gasdoor" video disappeared from my site and I can't access it now to upload it again I'l see if I can get it working later on.

No bolt holes in bed floor? My good friend Boz-All can fix that.

Ok, the mpeg link is still down. I'm unable to access my web site at the moment.
Here's the difference......... look at the body line on the wheel tub compared to the line on the inner bed side. Also look at how much distance there is between the top of the wheel tub and the bed rail compared to a "stock" bed. Sooooo.... MandarinSixSeven is basically right. I raised the bed floor 1.5" for pumkin clearance (c-notch... air bags....etc). Then I was also able to raise the fuel cell up 1.5". So as you all can see, it looks stock, but isn't!

What drop do you have on that is it Bagged ? I have been using the pitcure of your truck for awhile as a Goal to get my truck looking similar to yours. I originally had a long box but I decidel to cut the frame and make it a shorty. If you get some time you should take some more pitcures and post the on the board. Wicked Truck ! Later Mario

Ok, here we go. My truck has 2 1/2" drop spindles, air begs and a c-notch in the rear. Easy bagger. The trick on the front is to cut off the bump stop bracket. It lays control arm easy. More photos to come. Later, FuelCellGuy
