How low can I go
I have a 68 swb
1) it has a factory 80's cross member 2) PB 1 inch forward A arms 3) factory inner fenders 4) 255/40/20 toys on boss 338 ( don'T remember the backspace) My question is when aired out will it hit the inner tub and keep it from getting as low as it will go. And how low will I be able to run it at ride height. THANKS Kevin

Re: How low can I go
good morning Gus350. I cant answer you question in reference to 20 inch wheel, but do know that with 15 inch rally wheels, the inner fenders keep me from going low as possible. also, I don't know what engine/tranny combo your running, but the stock, truck oil pan, on my LQ4 was 1/2 inch from the floor, with the tires hitting the fenders. I had to resolve the pan issue b4 I removed the inner fenders. good luck.

Re: How low can I go
Thanks dec010974 I'm running standard 350 and probable a t400 your truck look killer good work. I guess really what I'm trying to figure out is where will the factory style inner fenders stop my drop. Or do I need to spend the money on some slosh tubs or hills inner fenders even thou I don't have a drop member that sets it on the ground.

Re: How low can I go
Kevin,... you will be air'd out on your stock inner fenders.
Ride height will be determined by two things: Whether you want it "just high enough" to turn the wheels while driving, or whether you want the front end alignment correct while driving. Those are two different ride heights.

Re: How low can I go
Here's n2billet's old truck Stella, air out on the stock inner fenders.
Is this low enough for you?

Re: How low can I go
Thanks Keith. Yes that looks good I forgot about that truck I think I'll stick with my plan A and use the new stock inner fenders. I'll figure out ride height when I get to that point.
Thanks Kevin PS hope to see you and Jeff in Nashville

Re: How low can I go
in my case gus350, my truck is not low enough, in the front. I had my truck aligned, determined my ride height. As soon as cash permits, Porterbuilt will be added to the mix. things start to change, as your need to get these c10s to their lowest point. good luck. clark.
