How do I get in line for these? I tried to clean my originals up the best I could, but they still look grungy.

'72 window vent screws and ferrules
Wes,
How soon will you have these available? I'm going to need these soon, as my cab is in the paint shop right now, and I don't have these screws. I know you mentioned the price of $9.95 for the screws and ferrules, how much shipped to Missouri zip code 64093? Thanks! Ben |

Re: Coming Soon!!
Crap. One more thing to buy.
Well, I'm redoing the doors anyway, might as well do them right.

Re: Coming Soon!!
Just curious since I have 69. What does this screw do that a 72 needed it and other years didn't?

Re: Coming Soon!!
For a 69 you wouldn't use these. The doors in the later models had a screw under the vent window to hold the two door halves together to help prevent the bowing out of them the earlier trucks could have. If you look inside the door on you truck, there might be a little welded tab holding the two door parts together. On most of the doors ive seen, it is broken and the door gap is wider than it should be leading to the window sweeps not sealing the way they would as new.

Re: Coming Soon!!
Should the head of this screw be painted, or natural finish of the plating ??
I touched up mine because the screw head was kind of grungy but I'd like to know the correct look from the factory. Also looks like mine doesn't have the sleeve ? Thanks

Re: Coming Soon!!
yeah, these are a '72 year only, keep the door sheet metal tight between the vent window and inner and out door shell.
