59 Apache Build- will get done eventually
Since I was little I had always wanted a 1959 Chevrolet Apache. After searching for years to find one, I was finally able to track one down. About 2 hours north of our farm I found one. 1200 reasons later I was able to fulfill a goal of mine. I really need to get other projects done before this one goes under the knife. I would really like to turn it into a pro-touring style apache, much like Wes Drelleshak's. Just got it home last night night, and had the motor running great in less than 2 hours. The clutch, however, kept me from being able to take it for it's first voyage in many years. The whole cab floor needs major work, along with the front fenders and passenger door. But everything else looks to be in pretty good shape. I have only gotten a couple pictures. In the one you can see that all 4 of the front lights worked amazingly well. Enjoy! Also I have no idea why the pictures are flipped

Re: 59 Apache Build- will get done eventually
What I would love to do is a 383 built by me, so I can pick and choose every single thing that goes into it. My dad bought a crate 383 for his camaro and I took it apart for inspection to find absolutely everything that you should not. Behind that a Tremec T-56 or magnum. most likely a currie rear end with 3.73's. Mustang II front suspension with a power rack and coil overs. Rear end will have a 4 link with a sway bar and coil overs. Aluminum bed mounted tank. Back to the engine- A forged crank of some sort, haven't decided. I-beam rods, with 4 valve relief hypereuritutic pistons. Comp cam, roller rockers and lifters. Aluminum trick flow heads with springs to handle quite a bit of lift, not to much. Air gap intake with a holley 650 double pumper on top. Aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans will keep it cool. And of course this will all happen when I can afford it.
