Not sure if im dig the white steels
So I blasted and painted the steels. Not the correct 86 white but the 73-80 white bgm0387 dupli-color.
Im not sure I like them. Maybe it will be better with the hup caps on? Maybe paint them grey? Opinions? Not letting me post photos............

Re: Not sure if im dig the white steels
I like them. I have been scouring the yards looking for some and I will paint them white when I get them.

Re: Not sure if im dig the white steels
I used a Massey Ferguson gray for the wheels on my dump truck. I think they look good and the light grey complements the truck.

Mine were white, but I changed to argent silver and think it looks better. Either way, needs hub caps.

Re: Not sure if im dig the white steels
trim rings from a 88-98 truck fits those wheels nicely with the factory caps too.

Re: Not sure if im dig the white steels
I liked the newer factory HD wheels. I also like the white steel wheel look with the chrome dog dish hub cabs. The newer wheels are aluminum and have much less un-sprung weight resulting in better mileage, less brake wear, and are easier to handle. This is what I came up with. I glass beaded the HD wheels and had them powdercoated white. I used a dremel to alter the center caps of the front HD caps to accept the hub.
