Lowered / bagged TF question

For the low guys, specifically Camaro clipped...

How much can you expect to be able to turn your front wheels? I have been banging my head on the wall for a long time trying to figure out what is acceptable clearance. It looks like there are a lot of bagged pics here where you can't turn your wheels, so maybe that is the way it has to be.

It will be depressing if I have to run a 215 tire. So here's what I'm trying to do. Stuff a 245 tire on 18x8.5 wheel, on a Camaro clip with drop spindles. Currently it is set at +5mm offset. At any travel more than about 1.5" compression, the tire wont clear the fender during more than 1/2 turn. I have a little more room to go with maybe +10 offset. Aired out, there is about 1.5" clearance at the fender lip, but can only turn the wheels about 1/4 travel. I'm afraid to pull the trigger on expensive tires, only to find out it won't work. I'm willing to roll the lips if I have to.

So, what offset and tire size are you low guys running? Camaro clip only, thanks.
