Nice pop up campre combo at Portland Swap Meet

I almost pulled the trigger on this and probably would have if it was original paint. I went back to look an hour later and it was sold.

That doesn't surprise me too much. It looks incredibly straight. Seems like a good price.

Looks like a great truck. Those Alaskans in pristine shape can fetch some decent money, so the package deal was a score for someone.

I musta walked back and looked at that truck like 3 times...definitely good price....way better than that nasty rusty gmc that the guy was asking 7500 for...lol

I was surprised on how little 60-66 parts were there,..i only saw 2 6 lug steel wheels there...crazy!!
although I did get my new coker bias plys!!

Re: Nice pop up campre combo at Portland Swap Meet

not to jack the thread, but i couldnt help myself....

Heres what I picked up last week:

Looks like its younger brother, 10 foot alaskan pop up, original paint, interior, floor mat, bench seat, everything! still has the cardboard cover over the gas tank.

The entire drivers side of the truck is flawless! Not a dent or scratch. A couple of small whoopsies on the pass. side of the bed but thats it.

Truck was driven directly from the dealership to the Alaskan camper dealership and the camper set on top of it. Tailgate is flawless.

Can't say enough good things about these custom campers. Could never find a half ton long bed or short bed in this good of shape here in Idaho where trucks were actually used as trucks on farms.

Re: Nice pop up campre combo at Portland Swap Meet

Wow Murdoc, that is a keeper for sure...what a time capsule!!

Joe Dirt, I have to agree with you about the lack of C-10 stuff at the meet.

I saw one guy selling some steel grills and some interior pieces but that was about it.

I did buy a really cool die-cast truck from a gal that color matched my truck to a "T"...other than that I just bought the usual signage memorabilia for my shop. Can never have enough neon and classic signs!

I saw that truck and had to use every ounce of self discipline not to pull the trigger. If it were any closer to me, I definitely would have caved.
Major score for you! I expect (hope) you will post pics when you can.

Oem4me:

You were actually the absolute first person I thought of when I first saw this truck. I'm a horrible lurker on this forum, and hardly ever post, but I've followed almost everything you post. I love the original stuff and know you appreciate it as well. I'm grateful to have something so well cared for. I will start a thread on it here in the next week or so!
