72 Cheyenne C/20

Wanted to introduce myself and thank everybody for some much great advice on this amazing site! Bought a 72 C20 long bed 6 months or so ago, and I think I've been lurking on here a half dozen times a day since. A little history of the truck: one family (3 generations) from the eastern end of the Sac valley, so virtually no rust and mostly well taken care of. The po did the body and paint work himself, the color is a GMC yellow from the 1930's. Engine stock except for an Edelbrock 600 and headers, hoping to do some more to pump it up a bit. Again, what great asset for anybody who has our year trucks, thanks!

Very nice truck, I like the color. I found mine in Orangevale last summer (except previous owner did not paint or take care of mine). What's the interior look like?

Re: 72 Cheyenne C/20

Thanks 86SWB & Jimbo. I haven't really done much to the exterior, but have started improving the interior. There was an odd stereo console thing on the floor which I removed, added a white gauge kit, retro stereo, new ac/heater ducts (pita), and started painting some interior trim. Apparently, the original interior color was Saddle Brown, not sure if that's what it still is or has been painted the po, my guess is it's been painted more of a metallic brown. At this point not sure whether to keep it brown or change it to black. Very nice and informative build thread Jimbo, one of these days I'd like to replace the engine also, maybe change to a 700r4 tranny, since with a th350 and 3:78 rear gear ratio I'm pretty much redlining at 65-70 on the freeway. Here are some interior pics, thanks again for the nice comments!
