Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

Running these caps on my 68, and one popped off the other day when I hit a pothole. Unfortunately another car was close behind and mashed it. Looking for a replacement in the same/similar condition.

Is it 1/2 ton 10 1/2"? I just picked a couple 1/2t up last weekend at a swap meet. I can get you pictures tonight after work if you have not found one by then.

Hi Scott,

Let me look. I know I have some "blue" bow ties but but not sure about yellow.

The same thing happened to me with my 55 Chevy Bel-Air years ago after I spent a week on each one removing dents and polishing

Take care,
Thomas aka TBONE1964 aka Tom

Re: Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

Here are the 2 that I have. The one on the right in the double pictures and the last 2 picturesare of the better cap. I have not tried to clean up either one. I am asking $20 for the nicer one or $30 for both plus shipping for either deal. No problem if you want to wait and see what the others have. Thanks

Re: Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

Thanks for the pics! Michael when you say flatter do you mean narrower? Your cap looks like it may be a 3/4 ton cap...is it 12" in diameter? Todd- your caps look good. What would shipping be to 92505? Thanks, Scott

Re: Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

Try a couple dabs of clear silicone on the outside opposite edges of your caps. I was told this trick by a local hubcap expert. He said for theft mainly people walking by trying to snatch em off but may help on a pothole.

Shipping for 1 would be $10.55 USPS Priority Mail (incl. insurance) or $8.76 USPS Standard Post (no insurance and slower)

Shipping for 2 caps would be $16.75 USPS Priority Mail (incl. insurance) or $12.23 USPS Standard Post (no insurance and slower)

Re: Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

No I think the center piece is pushed in maybe. But I'm not familiar with these caps. Its 10"
You can have it for 20 shipped
You know...I do have 3 solid 3/4 ton caps just like these but larger diameter

Re: Wtb: dog dish cap like this one

Todd- Id like the LEAST nicest of the pair, even it looks nicer than the ones I have Just trying to match up to what I have. Slow boat with no insurance is fine. PM me a total when you can, thanks.

Also thanks Larry Michael and Tom, looks like I found one!
