Need some help. WTHIT?
What the h... is that? By "that" I mean the the 2 holes and plugs in this firewall just to the left of the heater core cover. Both look improvised and one looks like a cork. Really. Any help would be appreciated.
And for the title of this thread, I used this old SNL skit for inspiration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV7Qz640OeM Thanks, Phil |

Re: Need some help. WTHIT?
Really hard to see on my phone, but I'll guess they're plugs for an old aftermarket a/c.

Re: Need some help. WTHIT?
These are your heater core hook ups for the heater inside. The heater core may be bad and they've just plugged it off...

Re: Need some help. WTHIT?
Those are definitely part of a PO hack job, possibly to install an add-on A/C system. Either way, that cork is one way to plug a hole!

Former underdash A/C hose holes, very common.

Re: Need some help. WTHIT?
Those are where the factory heater hoses would go on a factory AC truck. If they are not being used then I would get them out and plug up the fire wall. A dealer add on AC would explain them also.

Re: Need some help. WTHIT?
Thanks guys. As always, this forum has the answers. I'll work on upgrading the cork.
