Re: 71 directional self canceling lever
It should cancel. It could be as simple as replacing a couple of $0.99 cancelling cam springs. See them in this Classic Industries link.
http://www.classicindustries.com/sho...eling%20spring You can see one this picture. of a tilt column. The other is directly below it hidden by the cancelling cam. Last edited by FirstOwner69; 04-18-2015 at 02:21 AM. |

Re: 71 directional self canceling lever
I vaguely remember breaking one years ago. A tilt column I rescued had one missing also, but who knows why.

Usually the springs break. I have had a couple where the small plastic tab that holds the spring in has broken. LockDoc

Re: 71 directional self canceling lever
The "Help" board at the local parts store may be the answer. One of the places that has a large selection of that kind of stuff, should have a turn signal cam and the springs maybe in a pack together. I have seen the cams mess up and not work properly. If they didn't mess up so often why would they be available on the help board. Jim

Re: 71 directional self canceling lever
Hugger is correct, I just got turn signal cams from my local Advanced auto
and it came with springs. It's in the red help section.
