wiring nelp
Does any one have a wiring diagram for the engine
for a electronic ignition. Can't get the truck to start with the key I'm just lost HELP. changed from point to electronic ignition

first thing is you eliminate the yellow wire at the starter, then you take the yellow wire at the coil go back thru the wire loom find the spot in the firewall junction box it goes to then remove it and replace it with a new length of 12gauge wire and you'll be good to go . the reason you have to replace the original is that the original wire is a resistor and only supplys 7volts to the coil

Do you have the wire in the proper terminal on the HEI cap?
If everything looks good, then check your plug wires and make sure the fireing order is right and that they are in the correct location. |
