59 Chevy Fleetside.

Hi
I have a Chevy Fleetside Truck.
Wondering if some of the members could tell me what engine it has.
The numbers I have found on the flat part of the engine front pass side are
10W308736
T033iCNF

Thanks in advance.
Stephen.

Thanks for your reply.
Don't think it's the original engine.

Re: 59 Chevy Fleetside.

Go here and scroll down to find the CNF engine code.

http://www.nastyz28.com/gm-chevy-cod...s-suffix-3.php

1982 350 185 HP on the drive side behind the head there will be a date code that will look like X992 the letter being the month, next number the day of the month and 2 for 1982. Nasty lists it as a police block, low HP is because of lower compression levels in the late 70s and early 80's. If you run the casting number you can find what other applications the block was used for. If it is the PI application probably a pretty good block, may have 4 bolt mains and higher nickel content the racers want.
